About Debbie

Debbie is our CEO and Senior Estate Administrator. She is also a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), an Estate and Trust Professional (MTI), and a Certified Executor Advisor (CEA).

With over a decade in the accounting world, Debbie worked closely with hundreds of grieving families and witnessed firsthand the overwhelming challenges of estate administration. Time and again, families struggled to navigate complex paperwork and unfamiliar processes during one of life’s most difficult moments.

Debbie felt the call to clarify this process for Canadians, and in 2017, Debbie founded ETP Canada; in 2022, Debbie founded an online video course across Canada called Executor Ready. Debbie's vision for making the estate process easier for families has led her to offer herself as being named a client’s executor personally, leaving families with options for using someone with experience.

Debbie is an experienced professional speaker who has presented to leading organizations, including The Law Society of Ontario, The Canadian Estate Planning Council, and STEP Canada – Ottawa Branch.

Debbie is also a recognized contributor to the new STEP CPD course on digital assets, reflecting her expertise in modern estate administration challenges.

Her leadership and innovation have earned her the Rhyze Award in the Scalable Business Stream by Innovation Guelph. Debbie’s passion for community shines through her involvement as a Rotary Member; she was a “star” for Dancing with the Stars for Easter Seals and was honored as a Women of Influence by the Guelph Chamber of Commerce. Debbie has written for MoneySense, appeared as regular segment guest on the Avoid Probate Show on Zoomer Radio, and featured in such publications as the Globe & Mail, the Toronto Star, and Guelph Today.

Outside of work, Debbie is married, a proud mother of two, and a devoted Labrador Retriever enthusiast.
